Our core strategies are the trading of financial transmission rights (or equivalents). Since 2005, Saracen has been an active participant in assorted FTR markets, including PJM, MISO, CAISO, NYISO and ISO-NE. With our trading in PJM and MISO being our most prominent, we have consistently been one of the biggest and most successful participants in these markets.

In addition to our historically successful FTR trading personnel, Saracen has made a significant investment in back office personnel, infrastructure and proprietary systems and models. Using our proprietary risk management and trade capture system, we are able to transact on thousands of nodes throughout North America and for multiple RTO/ISO member entities. This investment in our people and systems is a critical component of our trading strategy as well as our ability to manage portfolios of all sizes.
